“After a promising 3 track demo CD, IRIS Corporation releases at last its first official album. And whilst listening, there’s no doubt about it : future is here. Between electric rock and oriental fusion, it’s raining riffs on wild rhythms, all supported by the brilliant voice of John “JP” Iris that shines as bright in ballad style as in raging shouts. During 13 tracks and nearly one hour, A New Saint Session will take you on a journey close to Led Zeppelin’s universe but yet with enough character and distance to get pleasantly untie from its influences.
Urgent and “dans l’air du temps”, lyrics are always positive and focused against any communitarianism, held by ecological, humanist and spiritual stances. A rather conscientious and adult position that fills songs with rage and poetry – All major ingredients for every respectable rock band. Hats off Sirs !

IRIS Corporation : When Orient meets Occident
« There are bands which have a style that is difficult to define either because it is so bad we can’t be bothered to the surface or because it is so musically mixed that we have trouble compartmentalizing it. IRIS Corporation suffers from the second condition. A trio, nothing revolutionary there. A myspace site, nothing explosive. A drummer, a bassist, a singer/guitarist, nothing exceptional. Rock electro pop ? What is more en vogue… And yet, the trio Albigeois don’t fall into the clichés of the genre. On the riffs of electric guitars, (70’s distortion guaranted) lays a voice which is sometimes difficult to define in gender. Charmed by oriental rhythms – notably on the track « Highest Love » – that reminds me the concert of Cirrus at le divan du monde. The commited and political lyrics give substance to the complete node (left wing rock is definitely a strong value and ensure sustainable development as well). Their last album « A New Saint Session » which will be released in 2009, can be partially heard on their site.”

A musical universe between Brit Rock and Oriental spheres; Dark and commited poetic lyrics : Here is the improbable union of three musicians from Iris. Each with a different background, their stands on ecology humanism and spirituality are the result of their rejection of communitarianism; A consciousness-raising which Iris wants to share at the same time as the infinite hope it allows.
